Funding of applied science courses at Imperial College London

Goal : 68 / 1000

It has been brought to my attention that there will be a review about funding of the applied science courses at Imperial College London. So far no commitment of funding has been made resulting in key members of staff considering to leave and applied science courses like Entomology, IPM and Forrestry beeing likely to be discontinued.

This descission will have a huge impact on a varitey of sectors of industry and academia ranging from pest control and crop protection to disease vector control, forensics and forrestry.

In all these professions graduates from Imperial College have been very thought after as new recruits to bring their sector forward and in some cases Imperial College is the only place in the country to offer these courses.

It is the aim of this petition to raise awareness about the importance of the applied science courses to those at Imperial College about to make the descission about funding by Monday the 12th of December 2011.
