Priscilla Queen of the Desert has been announced to close in Janurary 2012, will we let this happen, and the answer is 'definately not'. Let's show who's the best musical in the west end and we need to do Posters, Leaflets, Petitions, make calls etccccc, let's do whatever we can to make this musical stay open :). Come girls and boys we have a lot of work to be done!!!! x

I work in theatre it is ALL about money.  Yes a petition is wonderful but the Producers WANT to keep the show open, it's their income.  Of course everyone involved wants to keep Priscilla open, they don't need convincing.  The show has been selling discount tickets for a long time and are opening more productions around the world financed by the the London production.  The only thing that will keep the show open is an influx of cash.  Possibly Ray Meagher's return in October?

It isn't pointless because a petition can show them how much we support and love the musical, and the ticket sales aren't the only option that Priscilla is closing, they want to put another musical at the Palace and to be honest, Priscilla hasn't had low ticket sales, it's been very successful!!!!  Everyone is trying to buy as much tickets as they can and it is not always about money, WWRY was saved 2 years ago due to the support and love from the fans and that's how WWRY stayed on!!! I agree, we must buy as many tickets as we can and show our love and support for Priscilla :). x

They may not care about sentiment but it doesnt hurt to try!  We are all buying tickets like crazy at the moment which is whats most important!  Keep buying!

This is pointless.  The only thing that will keep Priscilla open is more ticket sales.  It's a failing business.  Direct your leaflets and posters to people to sell the show as Producers don't care about sentiment.  It's about money.

We will try and Save Priscilla as much as we can possibly do, and just design leaflets, posters, petitions etcc, to hand out to people for them to sign and write about how the musical means to them!!!!!! We will save it :). x
