Save Advocacy Into Action

As a supporter of Advocacy Into Action and the work we do with people with learning disabilities.
We have recently been informed by Stephen French (Senior Planning Manager NHS Forth Valley) that advocacy provision is to be put out to tender in Forth Valley. This clearly raises concerns that your local advocacy organisation which has grown from and continues to have real local community involvement will be beaten at tender by larger national organisations. There has so far been no consultation with service users, service providers or with professionals who refer to Advocacy Into Action. We are looking for support from everyone who feels as strongly as we do that if Advocacy Into Action ceases to exisit that this will be a real blow to the communities of Falkirk and Clackmananshire not to mention our volunteers, members and partners.
