SAVE THE MARKYATE VILLAGE PANTO (2012)

- sign now
Goal : 0 / 1000

Every February the village of Markyate stages a pantomime that brings joy and laughter to the many hundreds of local residents who participate and attend the shows. It is a celebration of Markyate and of our wonderful community. Over the years it has raised thousands of pounds for local groups. It has always been staged in the village hall, and it has always been staged the week before the school half term. This year however the Parish Council have refused the village hall booking due to concerns raised by another hirer.

This petition is simply demanding that the Parish Council work harder to find a compromise that addresses the concerns of the other hirer, and allows the pantomime to go ahead and not be cancelled.
