Stop Nettleham , Lincs council removing items from a sons grave.

Goal : 1195 / 5000

Jo Green is the mother of Ryan Hinds. Ryan was tragically killed in an accident on his scooter, caused by speeding cars. Jo has only his memory now and is struggling at home while her husband Stuart is serving the country in Afghanistan.

Nettleham Parish Council have given Jo until the end of April to remove all of Ryan's Memorabilia from his grave. If she hasn't removed it by then, they will remove themselves. They will not allow her to lay anything on his resting place.
Jo cannot care for Ryan as she would want to because of his tragic death. The only thing she has left is his place of rest....Their special place. For Jo and her famiy to take cards and gifts to him, this is how they grieve for him.
Please sign this petition to help save Jo and her family anymore suffering from this mad bureaucracy.

Hang in there Jo, you have done nothing wrong. I didn't know Ryan for long but my heart sank when I heard the news, draw your strength from family and never let anyone stand in your way of honoring Ryan's memory. We are all here to support you and your family.

my heart goes out to you and all of you that had the pleasure of knowing Ryan.

Nettleham Council you should be ashamed of yourself.

I read about this in Classic scooterist magazine.Good Luck to you Jo, hopefully commonsense will shine through in the end rather than this arrogant bureaucratic nonsense.

All the best with everything.

I have little doubt that Nettleham Parish Council are unaware of the anguish this has caused both for the grieving and the concerned, this situation can be quickly and painlessly resolved with an apology and a assurance that the graves and the grieving will be respected.

It is time to act in a responsible and sensitive manner befitting the office you represent, our humanity must take precedence over any bureaucratic and misguided rule.

Nettleham Parish Council you should act now, do not delay in this matter I beg you.

as a parent of two boys myself I'd thought one of them dying would be the worst thing in the world and it is. The fact that a council, elected AND paid for by us would be so crass and insensitive comes close though. How do these utter numpties sleep at night?

For heavens sake.....Give this mother the time to grieve for her beautiful son....and with a husband fighting for this counntry, the Council should be ashamed that they are not supporting the family more. Where on earth would we be now if the council had taken this attitude when this country lost all our men in the 2 wars we had to make this country what it is....or WAS now!!!
